Cleopatra’s Face Mask
Honey Face Mask
Notes
Milk is full of vitamins, minerals and proteins, which nourish the skin, repair damage and also add a healthy glow to the skin. Milk also is a great moisturising agent. Also milk acts as a great natural cleanser and removes every trace of dirt and impurities from the skin and reveals a glowing complexion.
Milk contains lactic acid. Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), a synthetic form is used in many commercial beauty treatments. Lactic acid works on the surface of the skin to stimulate epidermal cell necrosis (die off) and cell regeneration. Lactic acid also aids the skin to reduce pigmentation, hold moisture and reduce fine lines by stimulating collagen. Lactic acid when applied to the skin regularly will cause skin brightening. Lactic acid is also a key ingredient in treatment of those little milia or white head pimples on the backs of the arms. Lactic acid helps dissolve the plug of skin cells that build up around the hair follicle, smoothing out the bumpiness.
WARNING: Excessive use can cause sun sensitivity is some individuals. Lactic acid from milk is the most gentle form of AHA.Honey is a humectant meaning it retains or preserves moisture. – making skin soft and supple and helping to restore its natural elasticity.
