Asian Honey Chicken

500g Organic Chicken Meat

3 tablespoons honey ( dark gives a more caramel taste, light gives a more easy taste or else go all out and add the wasabi lava honey for oooomph)

2 tablespoons light soy sauce

4 drops sesame oil

dash of bbq sauce

dash of chilli sauce

This is a silly easy recipe. Grab a freezer bag, add the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, bbq sauce and chilli sauce.

Cut the chicken – be it thigh fillets that are a bit tastier, breast portions that are low fat or even drumsticks (these need more time cooking- leave them whole and they need at least 40 mins in a covered frypan or in the oven)

The chicken should be cut up to suit the purpose – bbq – thigh fillet in 3 pieces on average. Breast piece cut in 20mm strips.

Put the chicken in the freezer bag with the marinade, work it around so that the meat is covered and leave for a few hours in the fridge.

Now – cook it. Bbq it or throw it with the marinade in a frypan on medium heat till the meat tears and is opaque.Around 15 – 20 mins.

You can add chinese 5 spice to this or even use a tabasco instead of chilli sauce. This recipe is meant for a starter and you add to it.Remember lemon and lime also works well here.
